Cytozyme Presents on Benefits of Foliar Feeding at International Agriculture Conference

Beijing, China July 2, 2014—With a growing world population and higher demand for food, foliar feeding is becoming more important to improve crop yields and quality, Roger Tripathi, Cytozyme’s Managing Director of Marketing & Sales, recently told an international audience at the 2014 New Ag International Conference and Exhibition in Beijing, China.

Tripathi presented “Profitability of Foliar Feeding in Sustainable Soil to Shelf Crop Solutions” at the conference, which included 200 of the industry’s leading producers, researchers, traders, distributors, and consultants, as well as government officials. This year’s conference focused on technology, agronomics of use, and promotion of water-soluble fertilizers and their use in fertigation and foliar application systems in China and greater Asia. Cytozyme was one of four conference sponsors, and was joined there by its five new distribution partners from China and Korea.

“With our soil to shelf crop solutions, products are applied starting with soil applications followed by seed treatments, then foliar applications during vegetative and reproductive stages,” said Tripathi. “Finally, finishing applications prior to crop harvest improves yield and quality. Balanced nutrient content during plant development is crucial for optimal crop growth. Application of foliar nutrients has been utilized mainly to correct nutrient deficiencies in crops.”

“All research taking place at Cytozyme continues to develop new products which provide nutritional solutions based on the needs of the farmer,” said Eric Baughman, CEO of Cytozyme. “With our 40 years of experience, Cytozyme will continue developing plant nutrition to solve the issues in farming.”

More than 150 delegates, from 70 attending companies and organizations representing 22 countries attended the 2014 New Ag International Conference and Exhibition. In addition to presenting, Cytozyme had around 80 participants visit its booth and show a strong interest in the company’s bionutrients and specialty products.
